While the layout design had been underway for a couple of months, and basic decisions had been made, actual construction was delayed until we finished our annual Train Show on Thanksgiving weekend. The following week the work crews cleaned and waxed the train room floor in preparation for construction of the bench work. The layout will be at two levels connected by a helix. The design of the upper level will be the Santa Fe route from San Bernardino to Victorville, Calif. At Victorville, the helix is entered to go to the lower level. The lower level will be the Joint Line from Pueblo to Denver, Colorado. This shows the trainroom on Dec 3, 2003, with a nice, clean and shiney floor.
