Here you can see the Castle Rock control panel is in place, and some basic scenery work is underway.


When Castle Rock was finished, it was slid into position under San Bernardino "A" yard. This shows the name sake rock formation - Castle Rock. Once the assembly floor space was open, Colorado Springs was moved onto the saw horses and construction was very rapid. This shows Colorado Springs after all track is finished, with the basic weathering done on the track.
The detailed sceneary for the tunnel entrance from Denver onto the narrow gauge railroad is beginning to look real good. Stan has been busy making trees for Cajon and Summit. This is a cotton wood tree that will be one of many lining Cajon Creek.
